Recent Happenings

• Ben and I went to Auburn for the AU vs. UT game where Beth and Nick and Lil Sis Kate met up with us for plenty of fun, food and football, not to mention a game of beer pong or two. Here are the pictures from the weekend: http://picasaweb.google.com/Allie.Brandt/HometownVsAlmaMater#
• I have been cooking/baking alot lately, here are some of my favorite things
  banana bread (with frozen overripe bananas & part splenda), key lime pie (a shortcut recipe) cashew chicken (a new recipe), southwest corn chilli (a new recipe), pumkin pie (part with splenda), and last night we had sloppy joes...strange I know but I was craving them for some reason :)
• Grocery Mishap: I was at the Wal-mart neighborhood market and they had the organic eggs I typically buy 18 pack for $1.63! Inspired by this super cheap price, I bought two packs...I got home and had apprently bought eggs last week, not just a dozen, but 2!! So I had 4 dozen eggs...for 2 people! All expiring by Nov. 6...what to do with all these eggs...here is what I have done so far:

boiled for a snack at work (approx 10-12 eggs)

boiled for egg salad (3)

made banana bread (2)

scrambled eggs for bacon/egg/cheese/tomato wrap for breakfast (4)

tonights new recipe (the only recipe I could find calling for a whopping 10

eggs!) Bacon/Egg/Potato/Onion Frittata! Never made one before, but 4

dozen eggs will make a girl try new things

• Frisbee Golf: A very big pass time in Mobile, there are parks everywhere with Frisbee Golf courses, including one at the university. Anyway, we bought some used discs and thought we'd give it a try, $35 later, Rocco in tow we set out to learn the ropes. On the second or third hole I threw my distance driver in the pond....$10 down the drain. Oh well, we played and had fun!
• Bowling with Pharmacy, 11-2am 6 games of bowling, I made up for my lost $10 by winning all 6 games we played and now Steven owes me $15! I also set a new personal record...6 strikes in a row leading to a final score of 208!!

I'm sure I've rambled far more than you expected, so "happy fall" we're finally enjoying some cooler temperatures down here in the inferno :)
