Weekend Labor

So we got motivated by spring. So we bought plants, many many plants, mulch, soil, more soil and went to work in our yard. Ben spent Wednesday and Friday prepping the flower beds by doing some much needed weeding and clean out. (Thanks to some questionable poultry, Ben spent Thursday curled up in a ball when taking breaks from the vomitting) We mulched most of the front beds with Eucalyptus Chips, well maybe half...we obviously ran out. We planted two azaleas, 3 purple bushes, 8 ferns, assorted smaller plants in our "porch bed" and we started our veggie/herb garden with: curled parsley, sage, oregano, 2 jalepeno peppers, grape tomato plant, and a "talledaga" tomato...what I can only assume is Alabama's very own version of a normal tomato only with a redneck name. :) Here are some shots of our work, they're a little dark, but you get the idea. Also, we laid the pavers for our pathway to the backyard and I made a little "patio" for under the garden hose, we were lucky to have all of this stuff from the previous owners. ooo also I planted ferns in our porch pots.
